(Starburst mirror)
(The coffee station with clocks perched above telling the time in Paris, London, Tokyo)
(The secret garden)
There is nothing that I like more than discovering different coffee shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. There is just something about these little gems that evokes coziness and really entices you to drink bottom-less cups of coffee or cappuccinos.
Kava Cafe is no different. Somewhat hidden on Washington Street in the Meatpacking district, you might just keep on walking, especially now, since it is covered by scaffolding. I decided to venture in and was completely surprised. This shop has a vintage, almost Art-Deco feel to it. The glossy black walls and the mirrors create an alluring ambiance and another added bonus, they don't just serve coffee, they also serve a host of cocktails, delectable sandwiches and pastries to boot. The best part about Kava Cafe? The hidden garden in the back provides the perfect escape from the noisy city to just sit back, relax and sip to your hearts content.
