Recently my aesthetic eye has been gravitating towards Nordic-inspired design. Something about the minimal touch where everything has a purpose has begun to lure me in. While this pied-à-terre is located in Paris, the Nordic principles of design are clearly in place. This space has a level of refinement tempered (marble touches and crown molding) with a raw presence (parquet floors and sharp lines). Here is a peak inside this gorgeous home.

Inspiring Interiors:: A London Townhouse
Let's talk dramatic interiors - dark walls, emerald green velvet with glowing light. Everyone once in a while I stumble upon a moody interior like this that makes me want to paint all of my walls a dark inky blue or black shade to provide a dramatic effect. This is a London home belonging to a stylist and a photographer couple that of course have an amazing eye for design. I adore that inside of the darker interiors there are pops of white and yellow to break up the palette. Here is a peak inside of their home. P.S. I am working on our honeymoon photos, they will make their debut in a few days!

Take Me There: L'Hôtel Particulier Arles, France
I almost love researching trips as much as I enjoy going on them. I love scoping out attractions, museums, food and of course hotels, in particularly their designs. While researching our honeymoon I came across L'Hôtel Particulier in Arles, France that is just too pretty not to share. I adore the use of white and the exposed stone walls that lend the perfect amount of Provencal charm. Wouldn't you just to love magically appear there now?

{Inspiring Interiors} Eclectic & Colorful
Happy Monday everyone! Was it me or did the weekend fly by incredibly too fast? If so, how about I brighten up the beginning of the week with an interior so colorful and eclectic it is equivalent to a dose of caffeine. This space belonging to Edie Parker founder Brett Hayman is just like her clutches, statement worthy. I absolutely adore the Venetian glass inside of her bedroom, it is as if there are clouds floating in her room. Hayman has a knack for bringing life to a space even if the majority of her rooms have white walls, she manages to incorporate a pop of color that adds both vibrancy while not being overdone. I hope that everyone has a great week!

{Inspiring Interiors} A Marrakech Retreat
Are you anything like me in that you have a list up-to-there of places to visit? At this point I have the Maldives, Seychelles, Scotland, South Africa (for a safari) and Morocco, just to name a few. When I came across this serene retreat featured in the February issue of Elle Decor in Marrakech I know why I want to visit so badly. Traveling to me is about relaxing but more about experiencing new places and getting inspired by design and color. I adore the use of white textures that create a bright and breezy space, isn't it just dreamy?

Inspiring Interiors:: A Clean Slate
As I mentioned in Monday's post, I am trying to enter the new year with a clean slate, especially when it comes to our apartment; however this is hard for someone that loves objects and collecting things (magazines, candles, coffee table books). I think that less clutter equals a cleaner mind, so in the hopes to get me inspired, I have gathered these images from my interiors Pinterest page to guide me in the right direction. I love the openness, the organization and the overall happiness that a white interior can bring. Continue for more...

Inspiring Interiors:: Gray & Gold
Gold pairs well with many colors (blush, navy, etc) but before seeing this home in Elle Decor I didn't realize how well it pairs with gray. This home belonging to French designer Jean-Louis Deniot's home in New Delhi is just so opulent and glamorous. Her space incorporates a lot of geometric patterns with classical details that somehow mesh perfectly. Her garden is something that I dream about, I adore the classical elements that are reminiscent of a French chateau. Continue for more...

Inspiring Interiors: A Beautiful West Village Home
Haven's Kitchen, owned by Ali Caye has been one of my favorite discoveries in New York. One day while strolling out of West Elm, I peered into a shop that was beautifully decorated and had an aroma of fresh espresso, so I was definitely intrigued. Haven's Kitchen is a hybrid of a bakery, cafe and general store that stocks goods like Bellocq Tea and Mast Brothers Chocolates. Her West Village home was recently featured on Domino Magazine's new site and it is a truly beautiful space, from the floor to ceiling windows that allows the light to filter into her home. On another note, and I apologize for the delay, I am so excited that Domino is back! I have all of my old issues that I have refused to get rid of - they have been with me on 4 different moves, so I think it is love. I hope you enjoy her home as much as me. Have a fantastic weekend!

Inspiring Interiors:: A Colorful Abode
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! I had a productive weekend, which felt really good, we spent a lot of time outside, I baked and we tried Fletcher's Brooklyn Barbecue in Gowanus, Brooklyn - it was delicious. I love exploring this up-and-coming section of town.
Color is proven to make you happy - it is even Jonathan Adler's motto. I couldn't agree more, when I see a brightly colored interior, I cannot help but but get giddy inside. This interior by Susan Kasler is just pretty. I love the Tiffany blue walls and the bathroom which has wallpaper I cannot stop thinking about - it is the perfect combination of chic and glamour. Another one of my favorite interiors is the home belonging to OscarPRGirl decorated by the one and only Miles Redd. Design like this makes me hungry for more! Continue for more...

Inspiring Interiors:: A Glistening Space
Looking through my October interior design magazines, I found my jaw dropping more than once, in particularly with Cameron Diaz's New York home designed by Kelly Wearstler.
I have fallen head over heals for the glistening factor in her home - from the gold sink and shower to what looks like Mother of Pearl walls. Looking at these glowing interiors makes me want to ready my apartment for fall by bringing in design elements that create a warm and inviting interior. Speaking of immaculate homes, did you see Gisele and Tom Brady's Los Angeles home, it is immense, yet beautiful. Continue for more...

Interior to Outfit: Shades of Gray
I hope everyone had a great weekend! The weather here in New York was just so beautiful, so an early morning run to the farmer's market was in order and then there was dinner with all of the zucchini and tomatoes I purchased. I stumbled across this Mary McDonald interior in the September issue of House Beautiful and was immediately drawn into the subdued shades of gray. I love how this monotone sitting room is offset by luxurious details like tufted and mirrored surfaces. One of my favorite tone-on-tone color palettes to wear is gray - it is the perfect color to transition with. Below is a look that I put together and I am currently in love with that Zara sweater and skort. I hope that everyone has a great week!

Office Crush:: Moda Operandi
I adore Lauren Santo Domingo's style for both fashion and home (I follow her on Pinterest and find myself repinning nearly all of her pins), so it would only be fitting that the Moda Operandi New York headquarters would be nothing short of fabulous. I adore the dusty rose shades paired with bits of gold and the salon/fitting room belongs in Paris overlooking the Seine. Continue for more...

Kitchen Crush:: Farmhouse Chic
This month's decorating magazines are really killing it - from Lonny, Elle Decor to House Beautiful, I really want to move into each of the interiors featured. This kitchen really caught my eye, unexpectedly though - typically I prefer an all-white kitchen with a lot of marble, but there is something about this one that I really loved. I love this shade of blue and how the wallpaper really finishes it off. I also love the 'farmhouse chic' quality of the sink, faucet and pot rack. Here are just a few of my ideas to create this look in your own kitchen. Continue for more...

Room to Outfit:: Emerald Green & Floral
I have developed a strong liking towards floral prints paired with darker shades like rich navy or deep emerald. I recently stumbled across this interior on Pinterest and just fell in love with the moody green walls, the innocent floral printed wallpaper and the dark brown chairs. What do you like to pair your floral prints with?

Inspiring Interiors:: The Perfect Side Chairs
Have you checked out the new issue of Lonny? It is their travel issue and it is fabulous! Flipping through the issue reconfirmed my need for two comfy, yet sophisticated side chairs. About six months ago, I came across two navy French parlor chairs at Housing Works Thrift Shops here in New York, but I hesitated, but then a trip back to the store revealed that I was too late, they were gone. I am still thinking about them (sigh) anyways, my search has begun again. Here are some of my picks, I am gaga over any bergere chair. Continue for more...

Inspiring Interiors:: Touches of Pink
I recently came across this home and I am pretty sure that I am in love. I adore the soft pink accents, gold details and that mirrored wall is almost too pretty. As I continue to blog I feel that my taste continues to evolve, sometimes I find myself gravitating towards a more rustic interiors, but regardless, I always find my way back to a room that resembles a French salon.

Inspiring Interiors:: Beautiful Dining Spaces
I hope that everyone had a great weekend and if you were in the northeast you got to enjoy these first few days that feel like summer. It was definitely hot here in New York, but I welcomed this heat with open arms, I felt this year I was cold for far too long. Does anyone else agree? The I have chosen here are to provide me with some inspiration since I am about to inherit a beautiful drop-leaf dining table from my parent's-in-law-to-be (I recently wrote about their bar cart that I inherited too, one person's trash is another person's treasure). We have been without a dining table for far too long, okay, since we moved in over two years ago, so it is definitely over-due and for as much as I love entertaining, it is much needed.

Decorating with Branches
It is officially branch season! We started off with quince blossoms and have now moved into magnolias and fluffy white apple and pink cherry blossoms (this is my favorite time of year) . I have long been a fan of adding branches to decorate a room - they add a wonderful element of texture and height to any setting in addition to elegant and petite blooms. Here are a few wonderful images that are inspiring me right now for the big bunch of cherry blossoms that I plan on picking up at the flower market this week. Does anyone else love branches as much as me?

Inspiring Interiors: The Power of Gray
I hope that everyone had a great Easter weekend, if you celebrate the holiday! Mine started off on an eventful note with an unexpected trip to the ER because my contact ripped and got stuck in my eye (not fun) and left with the contact removed but a scratched eye. Oh well, made for an eventful day! Anyways when I was flipping through a recent issue of Harper's Bazaar, I had my love of gray reconfirmed once again after seeing the DUMBO apartment of blogger and interior designer Athena Calderone. I love how this shade is incorporated on her walls, in her hanging lamps and in her tufted sofa. Finally, I am lusting over her copper coffee table that has wonderfully embellished legs. Do you like this shade as much as me? Continue for more...

Inspiring Interiors: A Greek Island Abode
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Spring is still trying to make her official appearance here in New York but to help her out, we decided to do some thorough spring cleaning over the weekend. Rugs were up, and mops soaked in peppermint oil and water were out - it felt good to really give our apartment a scrub-down. Next up is organization, something I am not very good with (sigh) but after seeing this interior off the coast of Thira or Santorini in Greece I am officially motivated, this abode is serene to say the least and has a world-class view. I have mentioned this before, but what I learned in Greece last year was the power of bright white, it is just so therapeutic. I hope you enjoy this home as much as I did. I hope you have a great week! Continue for more...
