Fashionable Stay - Christian Dior Suite at the St. Regis, New York

(Welcome into the world of luxury)
(A fashionable nights sleep)
(The settee and the tufted couch are to die for, and the framed Dior illustrations are just the icing on the cake)

It would be an absolute dream to stay at the Christian Dior suite at the St. Regis here in New York -  I mean can you think of anything more glamorous? The only draw-back, it will cost you a pretty penny, about $8,500 a night!

Ambiance - The Making of a Room

(This room is the definition of ambiance, designer Erin Fetherston's gorgeous apartment)
(These two black and clear lamps atop a lacquered white console with a mirrored background is just so glamourous, model Jessica Stam's loft)

Light up the Night
(The gold and white are a fantastic combination, Emmerson Troop)
(Mercury glass on this lamp is truly divine, Orange Furniture)
(This mirrored pattern table lamp is by decorating genius, Jonathan Adler)
(A modern take on the classic chandelier, Room Service)
(This sea glass lamp's hue is very soothing, Anthropologie)
(I have been eyeing this sea-urchin inspired gourd lamp for quite some time, Crate and Barrel)
(I love this bright blue gourd lamp, Ylighting)
(Terracota lamp, West Elm)
(A must-have for any room, a gold lamp, which will further illuminate any setting, Apartment 48)

Ambiance is everything, especially inside of your home.  There is nothing that leads to a more soothing, calming and inviting environment then beautiful flickering and fragrant candles and decorative lamps; the great part is one can exist without the other. I am big on two things – the right intensity of light and the perfect fragrances to fill a room.

Fragrant Settings for Everyroom
(For Any Room - If I could drink this candle I would - the heavenly melange of peach, peony and a slightly woody note create the perfect environment for any room, *Voluspa Makkasar Ebony & Peach )
(For the Living Room - Cardamon Fig - okay, well if you love red currant candles (who doesn't?), then you will absolutely melt upon the first whif of this amazing candle, Voluspa)
(For the Powder Room - An enchanting gardenia candle with just a hint of vanilla, Voluspa)

(For the Bedroom - Allow the comforting fragrance of jasmine transport you off to the land of nod. Plus the wallpaper-like wrapped packaging is almost too pretty to throw away, Soap & Paper Factory)
(For the bathroom - Anthropologies signature tropical scent, Capri, blends the perfect amount of sweetness with zest, plus this container is for keeps)
(For the Entryway - Treat yourself and to your guests to this tranportive island blend of gardenia, tuberose and fig, Alora Ambiance)
(For the Kitchen - The addicting, I mean you will keep breathing until you have had your fix, Sake candle is an intoxicating blend of peach and mandarine, Fresh
(For the Man Cave - This buttery amber candle with a pinch of leather and milk is so succulent, but masculine, that you almost want to drink it, Dark Rum by Malin & Goetz)

*A disclaimer - I am just slightly obsessed with Voluspa candles. Not only is each candle and diffuser beautifully hand-blended, but the packaging is stunning and the burn time is well above the norm.
