It is quite hard to believe that this beautiful villa was once a dilapidated structure sitting upon a hill on the Greek island of Ithaca. The romance occurs when you look past what is on the surface to imagine all of the possibilities, which is exactly what photographers Gerda Genis and Robbert Koene did when they dreamed of its potential as a guest house for travelers looking to take in the Greek island. Greece stole my heart when we traveled there over two years ago, but since they I have added quite a few Greek islands to travel to, this is just another to add to the expanding list.
