Cookbook Wish List

With the official start of fall just around the corner, this means a few things - wrapping yourself in a cable knit sweater, sipping on warm beverages laced with spices and extra time spent in the kitchen making soups and other dishes cherished during the cooler seasons.  I could spend hours browsing cookbooks in either Barnes & Noble or Strand Bookstores.  Opening each book inspires me to cook this or eat that.    Here are some new cookbook launches (a few are from my favorite food bloggers) that I would just love to put on my shelf.

Must Read/Have: Dior Couture

“When you’re a fashion photographer, you must inspire a dream, with Dior Haute Couture, the dream is already there.” - Patrick Demarchelier
S/S 2011
The latest book that has been added to my coffee table book wish list is: Dior Couture, photographs shot by Patrick Demarchelier.  This must-have book features historical Dior haute couture pieces from 1947 through today.  These photographs are works of art and must be framed.

Must Read: The Perfectly Imperfect Home

Deborah Needleman, the (genius) former editor-in-chief and founder of Domino Magazine has resurfaced back into the decorating world (thank goodness, I have missed her dearly, not to mention Domino…).  In her new book, The Perfectly Imperfect Home, Needlman guides you through decorating how to’s, all portrayed through beautifully painted water color illustrations by Virginia Johnson.
