The Best Floral Fragrances

Working in the fragrance industry, I come across and smell many different fragrances from around the world. Out of all of the fragrance categories, I adore floral fragrances - especially white florals with notes of jasmine, gardenia and tuberose.  I thought that a great way to end flower week (I hope that you enjoyed it) would be to share with you some of my favorite floral fragrances and let me tell you, I have quite a few.  I hope that everyone has a great weekend! I am excited because next week I have a great line-up of talented ladies holding down the fort while I am away.  Continue for more...

JASMINE
Bond No. 9 Saks Fifth Avenue for Her - One of my favorite fragrances - I love how the scent of jasmine mingles with notes of creamy vanilla.
Acqua Di Parma Gelsomino Nobile - I adore this fragrance because it not only combines jasmine but tuberose.  This is a fluffy floral fragrance that always entrances me every time I wear it.
Le Labo Jasmine 17 - I adore Le Labo, especially the fragrance Jasmine 17, which fuses with musk and earthy sandalwood creating a dimensional and complex scent.
L'Artisan Parfumeur Thé Pour Un Été - Another all-time favorite that combines jasmine, green tea and linden flowers to create such a beautiful and easy wearing fragrance.

GARDENIA
CREED Fleurs de Gardenia - I love CREED fragrances, in particularly the fragrances that have been around for over a hundred years, like Fantasia de Fleurs, however, this fragrance launched last year and it has a feminine balance of black currants, peonies and gardenia.
Kai Eau de Parfum - A somewhat tropical floral with a dominating note of heady gardenia. I especially love this fragrance in the body lotion form and candle.
Santa Maria Novella Gardenia - This storied line from Florence dates back to the days of Catherine di Medici. One of my favorites from Santa Maria Novella Gardenia as I love the greener side to this fragrance.
Chanel Gardenia - Chanel's version of gardenia is a tad green with hints of vanilla and cream.

ROSE

Frédéric Malle Lipstick Rose - Frédéric Malle never fails to disappoint  Lipstick  Rose combines rose with candied violet to create an utterly gorgeous fragrance.
L'Occitane Rose de Reines Eau de Parfum - A wonderfully light and watery rose that has the ability to really calm the senses.
Byredo Rose Noir - This fragrance wanders to the darker side of the rose, combining Damascus rose with moss and musk.
Stella McCartney Stella - A new favorite - Stella has the airiness of rose with a back of sensual vanilla.

TUBEROSE
L'Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse aux Papillons - This L'Artisan fragrance is so delicate and beautiful, it combines ethereal tuberose and orange flower.
Frederic Malle Carnal Flower - An ultra-feminine and classic fragrance that imparts a magical dose of tuberose and a bit of coconut.
Gucci Flora Gracious Tuberose - This is another new discovery, I like how the headiness of tuberose mixes with peach and powdery violet.
Serge Lutens Tubéreuse Criminelle - A slightly bewitching floral that mingles with wintergreen and mint to create an interesting floral bouquet.

  1. I actually hate floral scents–they give me such a headache! BUT my favorite perfume to wear is "Flowerbomb" by Viktor and Rolf, so that totally contradicts itself...it actually is more vanilla-y though. Love how you laid this post out!

  2. I'm not really a perfume girl, but I do love a good floral fragrance, as long as it's sort of subtle. I bet I'd really like the L'Occitane Rose!

  3. It's funny, because I usually am not a big fan of a ton of different florals, but my go to has always been Stella. Something about it isn't too overpowering.
