(Rich chocolate layers paired with barely there pink cherry blossoms and ranunculus)
Mousse is one of my favorite desserts. My first encounter with this light and airy chocolate dessert was while I was staying with a host family in France during high school. In practically no time, the mother whipped up this decadent rich chocolate dessert with ease and let's just say this dessert was eaten in absolute silence. Then when I was studying in France during college, I became addicted to the chocolate mousse packages that were sold next to the yogurt in the local Fran Prix grocery store, they were absolutely delicious.
Despite the love that I experienced in France, I never got around to actually making mousse. I usually order if off the dessert menu at a restaurant, but it was my boyfriend that suggested it. I wanted to go a step above traditional mousse so I settled on this recipe for Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake. This dessert was a hit! With each velvety layer, this cake slowly gets richer and richer, starting with a white chocolate mousse, followed by its dark chocolate counterpart and finished with a dark chocolate cake base.
A Few Things: You can also make this in a 9 inch spring-foam pan to serve for larger crowds, which is what I also did and it was a hit!
Makes u want to eat it straightaway. Pretty display.
