It feels so good to be back! How I have missed blogging, but boy did it feel good to unplug and get away, which really allowed for me to completely recharge my batteries. I promise to have my first series of pictures from Greece tomorrow, but in the meantime I thought that I would entice your sweet tooth with Strawberry Macaroons with Strawberry Buttercream.
One of my favorite things about baking is when I can incorporate fresh, local produce. Strawberry season is in full swing and I just had to take advantage. These tiny biscuits are bursting with the flavors of spring, as both the cookie and filling contains real strawberries, either freezed-dried or fresh and they practically melt in your mouth. Next time I would like to experiment with blackberries and blueberries!
