If there is one key translatable trend from Milan it is the impossibly pretty makeup looks that dominated the majority of the shows. As mentioned in my New York recap, so long is the 'no makeup, makeup look' and it is a warm hello to rosy cheeks, kohl-rimmed eyes, lashes out to there and a velvety smooth complexion. The focus was on the upper part of the face, where boldly groomed brows provided face-framing impact while extra long lashes, either real or fake, created a soft doe-like effect. What are your favorite looks from Milan?

Purple Haze at Jason Wu Fall 2013
It was a soft purple haze at Jason Wu's Fall 2013 runway show. The models strutted down the runway with a mesmerizing shade of purple swiped across the lids, cheekbones were powdered with a neutral blush that led to a chiseled cheekbone effect, while the lips were left bare. Hair was flawlessly parted in the middle and coiffed back into a criss-cross pattern and finished with two barrets. The entire show in one word - stunning.

Trending Beauty - Part 2
(Subtle makeup at Carolina Herrera, but with highlighted accents on the cheeks finished with a light brown eyeshadow and a just bitten lip.)
(At Donna Karan was the exact opposite beauty approach, Charolotte Tilbury paired pale matte skin, practically undone eyes with a dramatic deep chocolatey matte lip. This is a look to try this fall.)
(At DVF, the look was also subtle, that was to give more of a focus on the slightly teezed updo. The eyes were accentuated with a light taupe shadow and the cheeks were brushed with a tawny blush.)
