Happy Monday everyone! Can you believe that we have already entered August, where is the time going?  Summer seems to be flying by!  I hope that you had a great weekend.  I am the first to say that a world without color would be a very sad place, but sometimes the lack of color can be very calming and good for the soul.  It can act like a palette cleanser for the colorful world that we live in. Something is soothing about the combination of bright white mixing with creams and beiges, whether in fashion, interiors or a styled vignette. Here are some images that induce a serene mood and of course an outfit to pull everything together!

Color Palette: Peach & White

I have many favorite color combinations, but one of my favorite has to be peach and white.  It was a Stella McCartney runway show that made me want to purchase every peach blazer that I came across, especially if it had a reinforced shoulder.  I think that duo makes for an ultra-chic combination, and if you add a touch of gold, well that is just amazing.

Color Palette - Peach & Mint

One of my favorite things about spring/summer this year was the amount of pretty pastels everywhere. In my opinion, these colors breath new life into an outfit, an interior and makes for the prettiest of desserts.  As the sun slowly begins to tuck behind the clouds earlier each day, I just wanted to take a minute to remember a highlight of the season.

Color Palette: Blue & White

Could there be anything more soothing than a color palette of blue and white? The tones echo the serene shade of the sea and the billowy white clouds that float above it.

Color Palette - Barely There Pink

Do you remember in the early 90's when powder pink and powder blue were popular? Well, despite the fact that we are out of that decade I still love the softness of a barely there pink. It is ultra-flattering and just pretty whether it is painted on walls or is the final touch on a  dessert, like these eclairs. Do you like this shade as much as me?

Color Palette - Peach & Raspberry

I am quite fond of pairing colors together that are only slightly different in hue.  One of my favorite combinations is peach combined with any shade of pink - here a vibrant raspberry shade reminiscent of summer.

Color Palette - White

Although I have many passions, there are four that always take the cake (if you will) - baking, fashion, interior design/decorating and flowers and then of course the colors that make all of these things beautiful. Here is my first attempt to combine all of the things that I love in purest shade out there, white.

Inspiration: Fading into Blue

 I love this look of fading colors, especially tones of blue. There is something that evokes the sea in this cascade of soothing blues.
