I am quite the coffee addict - iced or hot, this is my caffeine of choice. However, sometimes on a hot summer day, I crave something besides an iced coffee like a refreshing glass of iced tea. Growing up we made quite a bit of sun tea during the and throughout college in the South, sweet tea was always on the menu. When I do drink iced tea I prefer it to be barely sweetened and bursting with freshness, courtesy of either fresh herbs or fruit. Here I made iced green tea infused with ginger and mint - the perfect drink for a hot summer day. Which do you prefer, coffee or tea?
A Few Things: Instead of mint tea bags, I used green tea for an extra antioxidant punch and a dose of caffeine.

Looks fabulous! I wonder if it would be as good with decaf green tea? We can make it this weekend. :)

Now this is my kind of summer beverage! It seems so simple too. Gorgeous photos too dear. What is the table surface you used for these pics? I really like that white washed look.

Hi Jenee! Thanks so much for commenting! I actually use wood that I painted white. Super easy, I just took old scrap wood and loosely applied one coat of paint!

Coffee all the way - I'm definitely a coffee with extra milk kind of person, even during summer days :) However, during autumn & winter I love to cuddle in my blanket with a cup of fruity tea in my hands, it's the best.
ReplyDeleteI would try this recipe as it seems so refreshing, perfectly matching this super hot day.
