An Italian Afternoon

The Color Purple
(Beautifully textured eggplant)
(Fall means grape season - I cannot wait for the Niagra and Concords)
(Never seen before, purple peppers)

Brooklyn Institution
(Caputo's in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn is known for their light and fluffy home-made ricotta and melt-in your mouth lightly salted mozzarella. )
(Lunch Alfresco)
(Heaven in a bite)

I love Saturdays.  They are wonderfully padded between Fridays and Sundays.  There is no better way than to spend the day like a European - strolling around the city, meandering through the fresh air market and then finishing the afternoon with an alfresco lunch on the patio.
