(An amazing cup of coffee, perfect for today's crisp pre-fall day)
(The chalkboard menu consisting of gourmet sandwiches and soups)
(I loved how the simple syrup for iced coffee was stored inside an olive oil dispensor)
(Sun-drenched cafe table and chair)
I love coffee shops, but there is something about a coffee shop being in Brooklyn that makes the place just 'cool'. The Smith Canteen on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens is a must-do if you are in the area. From the mirrored walls, tiny marbled cafe tables, wrought iron chairs and chalk board menu - this place has charm. From the rich, bold Counter Culture coffee to the pastries, sandwiches and soups, I am glad that this new cafe has opened it's doors in my neighborhood.
